This is the best banana cream pie you will ever eat. the crust is dead easy , and adds a lot to the recipe,it kinda makes the recipe . i like banana pudding also .my mom pat loved this pie and she didnt like banana cream pie. ive heard tell they have made this puppy sugar free also , just saying ."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine flour, butter and pecans. Press into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9 inch pie plate.

Step 2

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Cool.

Step 3

Beat cream cheese and sugar together. Fold in 1 cup Cool Whip. Spread over crust.

Step 4

Slice bananas and arrange on top of cream cheese.

Step 5

Whisk pudding mix and milk.(its thick ,dont add anything, you wont be happy ) Mix in remaining Cool Whip. Spread on top of bananas.

Step 6

Refrigerate.

This pie screams Country Cooking! We loved every forkful of this pie and my husband said that next party, that I need to make this because my extended family and friends will be asking for the recipe. Golly, he's right! Ten stars, girl!!! I really love the tangy cream cheese layer, which offsets the super sweet pudding layer. And the crust? Out of this world (I did add about a tablespoon of sugar while mixing up the crust). I wanted to make the pie prettier by piping whipped cream over the top, but couldn't justify the added calories! LOL! Super delish, Dienia!

Boy did we love this pie. The crust was great and so easy to make. I loved the cream cheese, banana, cool whip, pudding, and powdered sugar combination. I will make this regularly.

Wow dienia, best banana cream pie ever. My husband was in flavor heaven. He absolutely loved it and has requested it again. I've never had a pie like this before, it was a lovely surprise. The flavor was out of this world good. The cream cheese really elevates this treat. The mixtures of cream cheese and pudding with the cool whip is brilliant. It resulted in a thick, rich, sweet, creamy banana flavored pie. I did add some fresh whipped cream to the top as garnish. Thank you so much for sharing. Kudos on making it into my Best of Cookbook 2019.

Delicious -- DH loved this banana cream pie. The pie crust is delish and the pie is very easy to make. I opted for banana cream pudding - next time I'll try vanilla to see which we like best, but either one will be wonderful. : )

I can see why this pie was your top reviewed recipe! It is absolutely wonderful! Love the addition of cream cheese and the crust goes perfectly with the bananas. I used unsweetened whipped cream for the Cool Whip as the pudding has enough sweetness for us. Going into my Favvy File! Looking forward to sharing this pie with family when they visit.
