Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place almonds in a bowl and cover with water and set aside to soak for 2 hours and then discard water.

Step 2

Place almonds, 2 cups water and dates in a blender and blend until smooth and then strain through a fine sieve, discarding any solids.

Step 3

Return almond milk and remaining ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.

Step 4

Pour into serving grasses and serve immediately.

I did everything according to directions except we were gone. My two hour soaking time was nine hours. So it soaked most of the water up. This was totally a smoothie consistency, not a liquid iced coffee consistency. I used the sieve according to directions. The picture I took is how much the recipe made for the four servings. This made for a nice tasting bedtime treat. Thanks, Pat.
