Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook turnips until just barely tender-not soft but a little firm. Drain.
Step 2
Melt butter and mix in flour.
Step 3
Add 1/2 and 1/2 cream add shredded cheese. until sauce turns yellow , it works best just cutting small chunks off and stirring so it melts.
Step 4
Mix into turnips.
Step 5
Top with chives.
