Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds turnips
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup light cream (1/2 & 1/2)
  • 3 ounces Velveeta cheese (shredded or cubed small, about a cup or until it turns yellow lol)
  • 1 tablespoon chives

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook turnips until just barely tender-not soft but a little firm. Drain.

  • Step 2: Melt butter and mix in flour.

  • Step 3: Add 1/2 and 1/2 cream add shredded cheese. until sauce turns yellow , it works best just cutting small chunks off and stirring so it melts.

  • Step 4: Mix into turnips.

  • Step 5: Top with chives.
