Step by Step Method
Step 1
Let the ingredients (cream cheese, butter, eggs) come to room temperature.
Step 2
Cream butter and cream cheese together until fluffy.
Step 3
Add salt, sugar, eggs and flour and beat well after each addition.
Step 4
Add vanilla last.
Step 5
Use a paper towel to wipe the tube pan (Angel Food) with Crisco all over and then dust the Crisco with flour.
Step 6
Drop the pan on the counter after you pour in the batter to help settle and get air bubbles out.
Step 7
Bake in cold oven (don’t turn the oven on until after you put the cake in) 325° for 1 1/2 hours (90 minutes).
