Step 1: Let the ingredients (cream cheese, butter, eggs) come to room temperature.
Step 2: Cream butter and cream cheese together until fluffy.
Step 3: Add salt, sugar, eggs and flour and beat well after each addition.
Step 4: Add vanilla last.
Step 5: Use a paper towel to wipe the tube pan (Angel Food) with Crisco all over and then dust the Crisco with flour.
Step 6: Drop the pan on the counter after you pour in the batter to help settle and get air bubbles out.
Step 7: Bake in cold oven (don’t turn the oven on until after you put the cake in) 325° for 1 1/2 hours (90 minutes).
