Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Making the Crostini
Step 2
Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and put into the oven to bake for 5-7 minutes, or until slightly crisp. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.
Making the Cranberry balsamic Sauce
Step 3
While cheese is baking, place the cranberries, sugar, and orange juice in a saucepan over medium heat.
Step 4
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries pop, about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Add the balsamic vinegar, orange zest, cinnamon, allspice, extract, and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes, or until thickened.
Baking the Brie
Step 6
Grease a small cast-iron skillet with olive oil cooking spray (or grease with a small amount of olive oil right out of your canister).
Step 7
Place the brie round in the cast iron skillet and place it in a preheated oven.
Step 8
Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the brie is softened & getting soft and gooey. Remove from the oven.
Step 9
Spoon some of the cranberry balsamic sauce on top of the baked brie and serve with the warm crostini. Enjoy!
