Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven 350

Step 2

Disjoint chicken wings use drumettes only use tip for something else. 1 tip and 2 drumettes)

Step 3

Arrange drumettes in shallow pan season to taste with salt and pepper Bake 45-50 minutes or lightly browned and tender turn every 15 minutes

Step 4

Meanwhile combine lemon peel, juice, sugar, sherry, soy sauce, chili sauce, salt and ginger in medium saucepan bring to boil over high heat.

Step 5

Stir together the cornstarch and water until smooth and stir into hot mixture. Continue boilling until slightly thick. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature

Step 6

When wings are done toss with 1- 1 1/2 cup glaze. sprinkle with optional ingredients.

Step 7

Serve hot with remaining sauce as dip

We enjoyed these wings with Pork Fried Rice, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Crab Rangoon. They were very good! I did sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and made half the amount for the two of us. My little guy, who isn't so little anymore at 13, loved them right down to the bones!

The end result was juicy wings with a really lovely zinging citrus sauce which we enjoyed, I served rice on the side and the sauce over the rice was a wonderful addition to the meal, thank you muffinlady made for Pick Me tag game under the 48 hour rule,
