Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a small pot, mix cream, milk and egg yolks until thoroughly combined.
Step 2
Heat on low, stirring constantly to prevent burning milk, as milk warms add butter and seasonings.
Step 3
Continue cooking until mixture thickens.
Step 4
Add the chicken, peas and celery. Cook until heated through stirring constantly.
Step 5
When heated, remove from heat add walnuts, stir.
Step 6
Cut toast into triangles, top with portion of mixture. Serve.
