Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken in the flour mixture. Saute chicken in oil in a large skillet for 4 minutes. Add garlic, and saute for 2 minutes. Turn chicken, add mushrooms and saute for 3 minutes.

Step 2

Add broth and the next 3 ingredients; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes, turning chicken occasionally.

Step 3

Remove the chicken to a serving platter; keep warm. Cook the mushroom mixture over medium heat for 7 minutes. Remove and discard garlic and bay leaf. Add the butter, stirring until the butter melts. Spoon the mushroom mixture evenly over chicken. Garnish, if desired.

This smelled so good while it was cooking and tasted just as yummy as it smelled...next time I think I will wait tell step 2 or 3 to add the mushrooms...they were a bit over done..made for FYC tag game...
