Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl, stirring with a whisk; set aside.

Step 2

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add sprouts to pan.

Step 3

Cook 4 minutes or until beginning to brown.

Step 4

Stir in butter; cook 4 minutes or until caramelize and crisp-tender.

Step 5

Add shallot, ginger, and garlic to pan; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Step 6

Add lime juice mixture to pan; cook 3 minutes or until syrupy. Stir in green onions and cilantro.

Step 7

Serve immediately.

What a nice change of pace! The combination of ingredients are spot on, elevating these brussels sprouts to flavor town. I followed all as directed and used homegrown cilantro where the stems were also used (there's lots of flavor in the stems, so why throw it out). Tasted great. Thanks, Teresa, for sharing!
