Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2

Cream together butter and sugar until smooth.

Step 3

Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture.

Step 5

Stir in pecans.

Step 6

Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.

Step 7

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 11-14 minutes.

Step 8

Transfer cookies to wire rack to cool.

These were easy, and baked beautifully in 11 minutes. They were a little dryer than we prefer, and the flavour was much milder than I expected, but they were overall a success. I'll probably make them again, but maybe add some butter flavouring or more vanilla.

I invited a few friends over to play cards and I wanted to have something to snack on so I had my daughter make up a batch of these to have with tea and coffee. They were a big success with my friends and we all loved every last one. I will make these often because we enjoyed them so much and my grandchildren will forever be grateful for these delicious cookies.
