Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180 degree Celsius.

Step 2

Lightly grease and line a 20cm cake tin and line with baking paper.

Step 3

In a bowl combine the flour, oats, bicarbonate of soda, allspice, sugar and pecans.

Step 4

Make a well in the centre and then add the oil and egg and then the apples and combine all ingredients well together.

Step 5

Pour mix into the prepared tin and cook for 35 minutes until golden brown, test by inserting a skewer and it should come out clean.

Great snack cake. Love that the added sugars are so low, and the apple taste really shines through. I served it with a sugar-free whipped topping.
