Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a deep skillet heat the oil.

Step 2

Chop coarsely the onion and lightly fry it in the heated oil.

Step 3

Add the chicken breasts and fry on the both sides until golden brown.

Step 4

Transfer the chicken breast with the onion in a plate, cover and keep warm.

Step 5

Add 1 more tbsp olive oil if needed, add the flour and stir until it becomes like a white sauce.

Step 6

Add the red paprika, continue stirring to dissolve it in the sauce, add the beer,

Step 7

Add the chicken with the onion, salt, and the parsley.

Step 8

Reduce heat on low and cook until about 30 minutes.

Step 9

Serve warm.

Originally this recipe is served with a boiled white rice.

What a delicious sauce...I cut the recipe in half and the hubby was happy to finish the bottle of beer..I served it with a side of stuffing and peas...made for an enjoyable dinner...made for "Seaside Brasserie" 2020 tag game...

10 stars. The sauce is to die for and chicken was cooked perfectly. I served with buttered egg noodles, I had to use a yellow onion, but otherwise made as written.

Yum! I loved the sauce and the chicken was done perfectly. This was great served over rice. It tasted like it had been simmering all day long!
