Step 1

Place wings in a plastic bag set in a shallow dish.

Step 2

In a small bowl stir together soy sauce, ginger, crushed red pepper, five spice powder and garlic.

Step 3

Pour over wings.

Step 4

Close bag and toss to coat.

Step 5

Chill in refrigerator several hours or overnight, turning bag occasionally.

Step 6

Remove wings from bag, reserving marinade.

Step 7

Place wings on a foil-lined 15-by-10-by-1-inch baking pan.

Step 8

Bake, uncovered, in a 450-degree oven for 10 minutes.

Step 9

Brush with reserved marinade.

Step 10

Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until chicken is tender and no longer pink.

these wings are great! Made as directed except I didn't have any fresh ginger so used about 1 tsp of dried. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful wings!! Mmmmmm good! We both really enjoyed the flavour. Marinated them for 8 hours and baked them for 20 minutes as they were small. Fast and easy to put together. Thank you for sharing this recipe Fizzybrat that will surely see repeats.
