"This is really a recipe for the sauce; not necessarily the chicken wings. Now, you can bake, fry, or grill your wings; either method works. I actually prefer to bake or grill mine. See the note below on the wings. I like to serve these as an appetizer; because for me, they are pretty rich. But, you can serve them as a main course as well. Perfect snack food during game night with friends. Now, the serving size I list from 4-8 depending on how you are serving them (appetizers or a main dish). And, the cooking time - this is basically just for the sauce; which the only cooking is melting the butter."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Chicken Wings ... I prefer to cut off the tips - there is no meat; and they dry out. Now, when I cook the wings (grill or bake); I like to grill the drumettes and wing together. Then, once done, I cut the 2 apart. I think they stay more moist when grilled together; and, they are very easy to cut apart when cooked. So, I prefer to buy 12 whole wings, just my preference.

Step 2

Now, I don't season or do anything special to cook the wings. Simply, fry, grill, or bake; your choice. As mentioned, oil your grill well; or, lightly spray your wings with olive oil to get a good crisp skin. Once the wings are done ... it is time to sauce.

Step 3

Sauce ... Add everything to a large bowl, and toss to combine. I usually melt my butter right in the microwave.

Step 4

Finish ... Add the chicken to the bowl; and toss until all the wings are coated. Serve on a big plate; and, garnish with scallions. Done!

Step 5

ENJOY! ... Simply dig in and enjoy. I usually double this recipe for friends. They are easy, inexpensive; and, always a crowd pleaser.
