Step by Step Method

Step 1

To make filling, combine all ingredients in a bowl and season with salt and pepper and mix well.

Step 2

Place half the wrappers on a clean board. and place 2 teaspoons of chicken mixture on one half of each wrapper and lightly brush edges with water and fold the other side of wrapper over filling to enclose and press edges together to seal and place on a large, oiled oven tray.

Step 3

Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling and place on a separate, large oven tray and spray wontons with oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Step 4

Cook in a hot oven (200C) for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked.

Step 5

Garnish hot wontons with chives and serve with sauce.

TIP! Uncooked wontons can be made up one day ahead. Keep, covered, in the fridge Dumpling soy sauce is available in the Asian section of major supermarkets.

These are good and so much easier than I thought they would be. i didn't have the dumpling soy sauce or ginger paste so used regular soy sauce and grated ginger and everything worked out very well. Thanks for sharing!
