Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 425°F. Line 2 cookie sheets with sides with heavy-duty foil; spray with cooking spray.

Step 2

Sprinkle pepper over chicken. Wrap each chicken piece with a half slice of bacon.

Step 3

Place bacon-wrapped chicken pieces on cookie sheets, bacon end down.

Step 4

Bake uncovered 30 minutes; turn chicken; rotate cookie sheets in oven.

Step 5

Bake 20 to 30 minutes longer or until golden brown and juice of chicken is clear when thickest part is cut to bone (at least 165°F).

Step 6

Meanwhile, in 1-quart saucepan, mix Bourbon Sauce ingredients; heat to simmering over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes.

Step 7

Remove from heat; set aside.

Step 8

In large bowl, toss chicken with half of the sauce. Serve warm with remaining sauce on the side for dipping.

Wonderful chicken wings! I made about half the recipe and used orange juice in place of bourbon which worked out well for us. I also used peppered bacon to wrap the wings and skipped the other pepper. Delicious! Thanks for sharing!

Made exactly as written for your Wk 2 Football Pool win, except at the very end I used my pastry brush to lather on the yummy sauce before I plated our dinner. The "drums" were perfectly cooked, tender & flavorful. They made losing to you in the pool almost a reward. Congrats for your win & thx for sharing this recipe w/us.

I made the sauce the night before serving this and also seasoned and wrapped the wings with the bacon and placed them in the refrigerator so hubby could throw this together while I was at work for himself and his buddies while watching football. He said all the boys enjoyed these and he will make these again for their next gathering.
