"A breakfast casserole you can make the night before so it will be ready to go in the morning. The 8 hour refrigerating time is not included in the prep!"
Cook the sausage, then drain well.
Place the melted butter into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cut the bread into small squares (you can cut the crust off or leave them on, your preference). Spread the bread squares over the butter in the pan.
Spread the sausage over the bread. Cover the bread and sausage with the shredded cheddar cheese.
Beat together the eggs, mustard, salt, and half and half. Pour over the ingredients in the baking pan. Chill for 8 hours, then bake for 40-50 minutes at 350 degrees.
