"If you have any family in the Ozarks, or have ever lived there, you have had chocolate gravy at least once. Strangely enough, my mom came from the Ozarks, and no one in her family made this. I guess they were too poor for chocolate, LOL!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a skillet on the stovetop, heat the butter until melted.

Step 2

In a small to medium bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and cocoa together.

Step 3

Add to the butter, mixing until it is smooth.

Step 4

Once everything is mixed, slowly add the whole milk and the evaporated milk until smooth. Cook on medium heat until it starts thickening.

Step 5

Add the pinch of salt.

Step 6

Serve over hot biscuits.
