Step by Step Method

Step 1

Place all the ingredients for the chile paste in the bowl of a food processor, with 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Blitz to form a rough paste and set aside.

Step 2

Put the yogurt in a bowl and whisk with the mint, lemon juice, 1 1/2 teaspoons of the cumin seeds, and rounded 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Step 3

Add the cucumber, onion, and tomatoes and stir gently.

Step 4

Transfer to a shallow bowl and top with chile paste.

Step 5

Swirl lightly, sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds and serve.
