"Another of my favorites for leftover cooked chicken...shred the chicken and eat as is in the tangy, sweet sauce served over rice or as a "pulled teriyaki chicken" slider on Hawaiian Sweet Rolls! YUM"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine the water and cornstarch and mix until smooth. Add all other sauce ingredients in medium saucepan and simmer until combined.

Step 2

Add chicken and continue simmering until the sauce has thickened.

Step 3

Add additional liquid (water, chicken broth, pineapple juice, etc) to thin to desired consistency.

Soo sorry Willow, this was just not our thing, it turned out very thick and cloying. I did add some frozen peas to it , tought they might loosen it up a little. If i were to make it again i would cut the cornstarch, soy sauce and sugar waaay back. I was just thinking looking at your photo and mine, perhaps your breasts were larger than mine.  Yours looks so much lighter and thiner , is it possible that some kind of liquid was left out of the recipe?
