Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Step 2

Lightly grease a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.

Step 3

Melt butter and set aside to cool.

Step 4

In a bowl, mash bananas.

Step 5

You should have 1 cup.

Step 6

Beat in sugar, then egg and butter.

Step 7

In another bowl, stir together flour, salt and baking soda.

Step 8

Add to banana mixture and stir just until all flour is moistened.

Step 9

Stir in nuts, then pour into prepared pan.

Step 10

Bake in preheated oven 55 to 65 minutes or until bread tests done with a toothpick.

Step 11

When done, remove from oven and cool in pan 10 minutes.

Step 12

Turn out onto a rack to cool completely.
