"TO DIE FOR! In the ingredients list, there is one package of frozen strawberries, but you will only use 3/4 cup, freeze the rest for another time, or use fresh pureed. If you are using fresh, since there is not as much liquid you will need to add in some light or heavy cream to achieve the consistancy for spreading, you could use more than 3/4 cup puree if using fresh. Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a large bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter, cream cheese and salt at medium speed until creamy. Beat in 3/4 cup of the strawberry puree and the strawberry extract. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until smooth.
Step 2
Spread frosting in between layers and on top and sides of cake.
Step 3
Store in refrigerator.
