Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup soft butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package (15 ounce) frozen strawberries (in syrup, thawed and VERY WELL DRAINED, you will only use 3/4 cup of the puree - or 8 fresh strawberries, pureed until very smooth, read the descripion on top, you will need to add in some cream if using fresh)
  • 1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
  • 7 cups confectioners' sugar
  • Light or heavy cream (use only if your using fresh pureed strawberries)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter, cream cheese and salt at medium speed until creamy. Beat in 3/4 cup of the strawberry puree and the strawberry extract. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until smooth.

  • Step 2: Spread frosting in between layers and on top and sides of cake.

  • Step 3: Store in refrigerator.
