Step 1: In a large bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter, cream cheese and salt at medium speed until creamy. Beat in 3/4 cup of the strawberry puree and the strawberry extract. Gradually add confectioners' sugar, beating until smooth.
Step 2: Spread frosting in between layers and on top and sides of cake.
Step 3: Store in refrigerator.
