"This is easy so you really can't mess it up, and you probably have all of the ingredients in your pantry right now to make it! I like chicken legs, you can use whatever you want. The sauce is a sweet and tangy and it glazes the chicken. YUM!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Coat a 9- by 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Step 2

Combine the ketchup, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it comes just to a boil and the brown sugar has dissolved, 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Step 3

Arrange the chicken in the prepared baking dish. Pour the sauce over the chicken, turning the pieces with tongs to coat them.

Step 4

Bake uncovered until cooked through, about 45-60 minutes, turning the legs halfway through the cooking time.

Step 5

Place the rice on a platter and arrange the chicken legs on top. Spoon the sauce over all and serve. YUM!

Delicious chicken! This was easy to prepare. A fix it and forget it type of main dish. The chicken and sauce paired really well with jasmine rice. It was flavorful and just the perfect amount of sticky sweetness. Thank you!

I did a half recipe though for dietry needs I used less honey and sugar and used 6 chicken wings and served them over low carb. edamame noodles and they were juicy, sweet enough for me with the meat falling of the bone. I used chicken drumettes and except for heating the sauce ingredients in the microwave, everything else was as per recipe. Although cook time was a little less for drumettes. WOW... These were wonderful, the sauce was slightly sticky with such great flavours! I have another batch of drumettes in the freezer, and will be using this same recipe for them also. Fantastic, and as you said Manadoo (except for the chicken) all the ingredients were on hand in my pantry. NOTE: I have been making these for DH and son to take to work, they very rarely make it to their work and are still high on their preferred list of tasty and easy food to take to work.
