Step by Step Method

Heat oil in saucepan

Add rice cook until opaque

Step 3

Add spices, water and peas

Step 4

Cover, then simmer for 20 minutes . Remove from heat

Step 5

Toast pine nuts in the oil (don't burn)

Step 6

Fluff rice. Top with nuts

We enjoyed this rice. We especially loved the pine nuts and peas additions. YUM! The cinnamon and allspice were not as popular of an addition to the rice for us, so next time I'll either omit or reduce. Thanks for another authentic recipe!

Spices are very subtle, but delicious. I cut recipe in half in it was enough for 4 as a side. Wouldn't change a thing.
