  • 316 grams dry white rice (raw 2 cups)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup peas (frozen)
  • FOR TOPPING
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil in saucepan

  • Step 2: Add rice cook until opaque

  • Step 3: Add spices, water and peas

  • Step 4: Cover, then simmer for 20 minutes . Remove from heat

  • Step 5: Toast pine nuts in the oil (don't burn)

  • Step 6: Fluff rice. Top with nuts
