Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers and red onion.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the white vinegar, avocado oil, granulated sugar, crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Pour the dressing over the cucumbers and onions. Toss well to ensure all the vegetables are coated.

I have got to say that I'm surprised by how much I LOVED this recipe. I have a recipe for sour cream cucs from my mom that is our ultimate. So I thought I may like this version but not love it. I was wrong! This hits the perfect flavor and hint of sweetness notes. Now I'll have two favorite cucumber salad recipes for the summer. Thank you!
