Step by Step Method
Step 1
In large skillet, fry the bacon pieces over medium-low heat until all of the fat is rendered and bacon is crispy, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 2
Remove the bacon pieces and set them aside. Reserve the rendered fat in the pan.
Step 3
Over medium heat, add celery, bell pepper, and onion to the pan with the bacon fat and sauté until vegetables have softened and onions are translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add the cooked rice and crab with juice to rice.
Step 5
Cook for 3 minutes
Step 6
Add crumbled bacon, and seasonings to taste to the pan with the vegetables.
Step 7
Incorporate all ingredients until evenly mixed, turn to low, and let cook covered for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 8
Let stand covered for 5 minutes off the heat.
