"These biscuits are slightly sweet with a nutty taste. I adapted this recipe from the one used at the Silver Dart Lodge in Baddeck Nova Scotia. They are a great appetizer. Serve with assorted cheeses or spreads"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400*
Step 2
Mix first 4 ingredients together, then cut in the butter to fine pieces - almost crumbly and finer than you would for a pie crust.
Step 3
Mix in oats and then enough water so that it holds together lightly
Step 4
Roll out in batches between 2 sheets of wax or parchment paper until it's about 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 2 inch squares, circles, or rectangles and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5
Bake at 400*F for 15 minutes, then remove from pan and cool on wire racks.
