"This is such a easy recipe and it comes out perfect every time. Takes just a few minutes to prepare and 15-20 minutes to bake and broil. The mayonnaise keeps the fish very moist, but you would never know it is mayonnaise. Serve with some wilted spinach and roasted potatoes for a quick dinner."

Step by Step Method

Step 1

Salmon ... Be sure to take the salmon out of the refrigerator to take the chill off. Line a baking sheet with either parchment paper or foil for easy clean up. Spray lightly with a non-stick spray and lay the salmon on skin side down.

Step 2

Mustard Mayonnaise ... In a small bowl, add the mayonnaise, dijon mustard, lemon zest, salt and lemon pepper and mix well. Spread over the top of the salmon.

Step 3

Bake ... I start out baking them on the middle shelf at 400 degrees for 10-15 minutes (it depends on the thickness of your fish). Then the last 5 minutes, turn on the broiler and move the shelf up in the oven and broil approximately 5 minutes until the crust starts to get brown. You don't want to over cook your salmon.

Step 4

Serve ... I love to serve this with roasted potatoes and wilted spinach. ENJOY!

Enjoyed this recipe. Made it alongside another recipe and this one won - forks up - for moistness and flavor! Enjoyed the Dijon and lemon combination.

This is a great tasting salmon recipe, the fish turns out moist and delicious. I did add a few red pepper flakes just to give it a bit of heat. Thanks for sharing this here with us.

We love trying new salmon recipes and this was so good. I made sure we didn't overcook the salmon steaks, and they came out pink in the middle and just perfect. That resulted in such a moist piece of fish that we loved. It has such great flavor!
