Hello - I'm Amy. My photo is of a Krazy Karl, a Day Lily that a friend grew and named for my son. I learned to cook from some wonderful women, my mother and grandmothers. My cooking roots are rural Northeastern but I learned so very much from great cooks that I met in the regions I've lived since I've been married - the Midwest and mid-South. I have also been influenced by the wonderful ethnic cooking that immigrants brought with them to the USA. My husband travels around the USA and the world in his work and often joins me in the kitchen to recreate regional and international dishes that he has enjoyed. What a joy to be among the friendly community of cooks at Recipezazz!
