Step by Step Method

Step 1

Melt butter in saucepan and stir in the sage. Turn off heat and let sit.

Step 2

In another sauce pan heat broth to boiling; add rice and lower heat.

Step 3

Simmer, covered until rice is tender, 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 4

Put rice into serving dish and toss with sage butter and Parmesan.


No special items needed.

This was a fantastic side dish to ham. It was easy to fix, a short ingredient list, and was something I will make again as a weeknight dinner for the family.

This was so good with Forevermama's Chicken Saltimbocca. Perfect side, especially with chicken. I will make this to have with our Thanksgiving spread!

Oh my, this rice is sensational. Truly 10 stars. I used leaf sage and melted the butter in the microwave. The rice cooked in 17 minutes. Served with prawns and broccoli.

We were on the fence about this recipe...not totally sure we loved the sage...but we enjoyed trying something new...made for "Bill Board" tag game...
