Step 1

Melt butter in saucepan and stir in the sage. Turn off heat and let sit.

Step 2

In another sauce pan heat broth to boiling; add rice and lower heat.

Step 3

Simmer, covered until rice is tender, 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 4

Put rice into serving dish and toss with sage butter and Parmesan.

Oh my, this rice is sensational. Truly 10 stars. I used leaf sage and melted the butter in the microwave. The rice cooked in 17 minutes. Served with prawns and broccoli.

Bergy (RIP" Forever in our Kitchen)

This would get more than 5 stars if possible - it is delicious. The sage & parmesan do not overwhelm the rice but give it a lovely rich flavour. This is so good I could make a meal out of just the rice. Served as a side dish with scallops , sugar snap peas with peppers and steamed carrots
