Step by Step Method

Step 1

N a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, hot sauce and garlic pepper; set aside

Step 2

Skewer the mushrooms, red pepper pieces and onion pieces onto metal skewers.

Step 3

Brush the skewers with the oil and hot sauce mixture.

Step 4

Sprinkle with cayenne pepper.

Step 5

Bring BBQ to medium-high heat and place skewers on grill.

Step 6

Cook covered, turning occasionally until mushrooms are just cooked.

Delicious! Of course it was even better because DH grilled it! He toned down the hot sauce a bit by mixing it with some barbecue sauce. All and all it was yummy. He used an orange bell pepper, white button mushrooms and a sweet vadalia onion. Made for Billboard tag.

Oh yeah these were darn good, I made up more oil sauce mixture that called for, I'm a sucker for anything spicy and these just fit the bill for a Monday night grilled steak dinner, keep those hot spicy recipes coming, thanks for your post!

Lovely spicy skewers. I made mini ones with just 4 mushrooms on each to go along with Mexican mini meatloaves. Surprisingly these do not bite your head off - when you look at the ingredients you may think they will. They are just pleasantly hot. Thanks Bea - another recipe of yours saved!
