Step by Step Method

Step 1

Using a strainer over a large measuring cup, drain pineapple, reserving syrup. Add enough water to make 2 cups of liquid.

Step 2

Heat the liquid to boiling and stir in gelatin until it dissolves.

Step 3

In a large bowl, beat cottage cheese with mayonnaise at high speed until well blended.

Step 4

Reduce mixer to low speed and beat in pineapple, gelatin mixture and nuts.

Step 5

Pour into a bowl or mold.

Step 6

Refrigerate until set.

Step 7

Unmold before serving.
