Step 1

In a mixing bowl combine the first 6 ingredients (cream cheese - garlic powder). Spoon one tablespoon of the mixture into each pepper half. Dip tops of stuffed peppers with the bread crumbs.

Step 2

Place a small amount of ketchup at the end of each popper; top with a sliced almond to resemble a fingernail.

Step 3

Place in a 15 x 10 inch baking and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Absolutely Delicious! We loved everything about these poppers - from the cheeses to the bread crumbs, purely perfect. I made this recipe as a test run for an upcoming Halloween party and these will be brought to the party. I wish I had placed it on a pretty tray for the pic., but was exhausted at the end of the night. Thanks so much for adding this lovely item to my repertoire, ellie! I didn't do the fingernail thing, but did make the poppers last night to snack on and they were so good! I am keeping this for future use.
