Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 package (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 12 jalapeno peppers, stems removed, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 cup almonds, sliced

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a mixing bowl combine the first 6 ingredients (cream cheese - garlic powder). Spoon one tablespoon of the mixture into each pepper half. Dip tops of stuffed peppers with the bread crumbs.

  • Step 2: Place a small amount of ketchup at the end of each popper; top with a sliced almond to resemble a fingernail.

  • Step 3: Place in a 15 x 10 inch baking and bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
