Step by Step Method
Step 1
Light firewood or charcoal and let fire burn down to medium-hot embers or coals and top with a grill rack.
Step 2
Combine peach slices, flour, cranberries and sugar in a medium bowl.
Step 3
Combine biscuits, pecans and margarine in a small bow.
Step 4
Heat a medium cast iron frying pan over the fire for 3 minutes and then add peach mixture and sprinkle with crumb mixture and cook for 12 minutes or until mixture is bubbly.
Step 5
TIP 1 - if you are not near a camp fire, you can simply cook in a frying pan over a barbecue or on a portable hotplate.
Step 6
TIP 2 - To toast pecans, cook over a medium heat in the frying pan for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring often, or until toasted.
