Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2

Season pork chops with salt and pepper, to taste.

Step 3

In a large bowl, combine Panko, Parmesan cheese and parsley; set aside.

Step 4

Working one at a time, dredge pork chops in flour, dip into eggs, then dredge in Panko mixture, pressing to coat.

Step 5

Melt butter in a large oven-proof skillet over medium high heat. Add pork chops and sear both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 6

Place into oven and roast until completely cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 140 degrees F, about 8-10 minutes; set aside and keep warm.*

I made the recipe as written and we enjoyed it very much! I used the sauce over some hot buttered noodles to go with it. ***** for this very impressive combo!

ImPat

I halved the recipe but omitted the cheese from the crumb mix and did put it in the sauce but used sharp cheddar instead of parmesan as the DH would not eat it with parmesan (he refers to it has spew cheese) and cooked in a cast iron fry pan and cooked in oven as per directions and put the chops into a casserole dish with a lid on and put into the oven to keep warm in the residual heat but that was a big mistake as we lost the crispy crumb and it had gone soggy but still quite enjoyable. There was a little confusion for in the ingredients you list lemon juice and cayenne but in the instructions it is listed as zest and chilli flakes - I used lemon juice and chilli flakes. Thank you CookerKat for a very nice dinner.
