"Commonly served as an accompaniment to a meal in the region of Catalunya (Catalonia), this bread, rubbed with garlic and tomato and drizzled with olive oil, is a delicious departure from plain table bread. As a tapa, it is often topped with a thin slice of cured ham or with anchovy fillets. Because of its simplicity, the ingredients must be the best: coarse-textured crusty bread, flavorful olive oil, and vine-ripened tomatoes."
