"An old-fashioned mulled cider that you can add the optional rum to make it more warming to the tummy and soul."
Mix all ingredients in a stock pot big enough to handle 1 gallon of liquid.
Steep for 2 hours on low heat and let rest overnight.
Once rested, warm the cider back up and add 1 ounce of good quality rum per 5 ounces of cider.
