Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine nuts, oatmeal and raisins, set aside. Combine remaining dry ingredients, set aside.

Step 2

Beat butter, brown sugar and white sugar until fluffy, about 4 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla and mix at medium speed until well blended.

Step 3

Turn mixer to low speed and add flour. Continue beating until all flour is moist.

Step 4

If you have a dough hook or paddle beater put it on your mixer, mix in nuts, oats and raisins. If you do not have a dough hook or paddle beater, stir in nuts, oats and raisins by hand. Let rest for 30 minutes.

Step 5

Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough onto baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake until cookies are deep golden, 12-14 minutes. Remove from oven and cool 2 minutes. Transfer to racks to cool completely.
