"This is an awesome burger I often make using moose meat. You can also make this using any wild lean ground meat. I have also made this using extra lean ground beef. This makes 4 huge burgers!"

Step by Step Method

Step 1

In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, diced bacon, pressed garlic and hot pepper flakes with your bare hands making sure everything is well blended.

Step 2

Divide this mixture into 4 equal portions (These are hefty burgers).

Step 3

Place the piece of cheese in the middle of each meat portion and shape into a patty, making sure the cheese is not exposed.

Step 4

Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the garlic to permeate into the meat.

Step 5

Remove from refrigerator and allow resting for 20 minutes.

Step 6

Cook the burger on a pre-heated grill or skillet until cooked to desired doneness.

Step 7

Place on the buns and top with your favourite fixings.

5 plus - I love my burgers and I sure loved this burger (never mind the calories). I feel so lucky that I was given this Moose meat as I had never tasted it before. I had over a pound so I got 5 burgers and have frozen 3. The pepper flakes gave it that extra boost. There was no wild taste. It was like a super flavoured Beef Burger.
