Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground moose, lean
  • 1/2 pound bacon, diced small
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper flakes (more or less to taste)
  • 1 1/2 ounces mozzarella cheese (cut into 4 pieces)
  • Hamburger buns (4 large buns)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, diced bacon, pressed garlic and hot pepper flakes with your bare hands making sure everything is well blended.

  • Step 2: Divide this mixture into 4 equal portions (These are hefty burgers).

  • Step 3: Place the piece of cheese in the middle of each meat portion and shape into a patty, making sure the cheese is not exposed.

  • Step 4: Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the garlic to permeate into the meat.

  • Step 5: Remove from refrigerator and allow resting for 20 minutes.

  • Step 6: Cook the burger on a pre-heated grill or skillet until cooked to desired doneness.

  • Step 7: Place on the buns and top with your favourite fixings.
