Step by Step Method
Step 1
Slice sausage into 1/4 inch pieces.
Step 2
Drain the sauerkraut.
Step 3
Cut cheese slices into 1/2-inch x 2-1/2-inch strips.
Step 4
Melt butter in small skillet.
Step 5
Brush rye bread with butter on both sides.
Step 6
Place on baking sheet.
Step 7
Toast at 400F for 5 minutes. Turn.
Step 8
Remove from oven and build Reubens ending with criss-crossed cheese slices on top.
Step 9
Bake for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
