"This makes 1 tall glass; so, make as many as you like. I usually make a big pitcher; minus the tequila and soda; then, make them as requested. Great for brunch or a Mexican dinner! Also, don't forget the garnishes; I like to serve a variety so everyone can add their favorites. Sort of a Blood Maria Bar - It's especially fun to do for a special brunch; or, party for a crowd. It's a bit spicy ... so, it's not for the 'non spicy' group. But it is definitely delicious."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Mix ... Add the bloody mary mix, lime juice, orange juice, and chipotle to a large pitcher; and, mix to combine. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid; and, refrigerate until well chilled.
Step 2
Glasses ... Add the salt and chili powder to a small plate. Then, rub the glasses with orange or lime and dip into the salt mix. Add the jalapeno, ice, tequila, bloody mary mix; and, top it off with the soda.
Step 3
Garnishes ... Don't forget the best part. Choose your garnish. Cucumber and olives are great; my favorite is shrimp - but, you can't beat a good stick of celery! And, I usually add a little slice of lime or orange as well. You can let everyone add whatever they want.

- Be sure to buy a good quality tequila for the best flavor.
- Choose a Bloody Mary Mix that suits your taste - some are spicier than others.
- Replace the tequila with vodka for a classic Bloody Mary: The benefit of this substitution is that it allows for a more traditional flavor profile that is familiar to many people. This could be a good option for those who are not as familiar with Mexican flavors or are not as adventurous with their drinks.
- Replace the chipotle in adobo sauce with a pinch of cayenne pepper: The benefit of this substitution is that it adds a bit of heat without the smokiness that the chipotle in adobo sauce provides. This could be a good option for those who prefer a milder flavor or are not as fond of smoky flavors.
Cilantro Lime Bloody Maria Mix the bloody mary mix, lime juice, orange juice, and chipotle to a large pitcher; and, mix to combine. Add a handful of fresh cilantro and stir. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid; and, refrigerate until well chilled. Add the salt and chili powder to a small plate. Then, rub the glasses with lime and dip into the salt mix. Add the jalapeno, ice, tequila, bloody mary mix; and, top it off with the soda. For garnishes, choose cucumber slices, green olives, cilantro, lime wedges, celery rib, and a skewer of beer steamed shrimp. Add a slice of lime or orange for extra flavor. Enjoy!
Grilled Corn with Chipotle Mayo: Grilled corn with chipotle mayo is the perfect accompaniment to this Mexican Bloody Maria. The smoky, spicy flavor of the chipotle mayo complements the tequila and citrus flavors in the drink, and the sweetness of the corn helps to balance out the heat. Plus, it's a great way to add some extra protein and fiber to your meal!
Chorizo and Potato Tacos: Chorizo and potato tacos are a great way to add a little extra flavor and texture to this Mexican Bloody Maria. The spiciness of the chorizo pairs nicely with the tequila and citrus, while the potatoes provide a hearty base for the tacos. Plus, the tacos are easy to make and can be served as an appetizer or a main course.
