"This is a very special recipe to me -- and I've given it a very special name. Mary Sattler was my mother. I remember Mom making this dip in the late 40's. We had it quite often -- Friday night's were "party nights". It was when my sisters and I were allowed to share a bottle of "Coke" (there were 4 of us, so we split 2 bottles). I have no idea where Mom found this recipe (maybe on the box of Philadelphia cream cheese) -- I never saw her actually use a recipe or measure any of the ingredients. She taught me to make it when I was very young and I'm still making it today. "
