"Recipe idea from the blog "joy of the kitchen". I played with the recipe and ended up with a wonderfully tasty combo of creamy oatmeal, tart cranberries, sweet brown sugar, and crunchy almonds crowned with a drizzle of maple syrup."

Step 1

Toast the almonds in a dry skillet until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly.

Stir in most of the almonds, reserving a few for a garnish. Drizzle maple syrup over the oatmeal and enjoy!
